The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) offers a large array of incentives to a variety of important sectors so that alternative energy resources can be explored as options to improve cost effectiveness, increase the use of clean energy, and help the environment in general as well as save precious non-renewable resources.
Some of the sectors most likely to benefit from a switch to alternative energy sources are agriculture, colleges and universities, commercial/industrial, commercial real estate, residential, schools, and a lot more.
The NYSERDA is ready to provide audits of energy usage of each workplace, home or school to help identify the feasibility and cost benefits of utilizing solar, wind or other alternative energy resources. The audit will show which improvements and to what extent those improvements will provide lower energy bills, increase productivity, and help to reduce the impact on the environment. In the case of the agricultural sector, the NYSERDA offers incentives to farmers who utilize the recommendations which the audit provided.
